Carolling the plot:
Schoolteacher Sophie Lawson has fled to the Cotswold countryside after a tragic break-up and is throwing herself into dating and organising Cranswell's annual Christmas concert.
The festive fun is marred by the arrival of a handsome but surly musical director, tricky pupils and concert preparations falling into disarray. Disaster strikes, but the show must go on. Will the concert bring Christmas harmony to Cranswell and will Sophie end the year on a high note?
Bobs and Books honest review:
I'm going to put this out there.. This is THE best Christmas book I've read. It has everything. Singing (my fave) an adorable little girl in Cassie, school setting, a super female lead and a wondrous romance.
The characters felt so real and vivid, with sensitive issues at the heart which made them break the norm and into the real world.
I have to talk about the ensemble characters- from a bestie, to a wannabe superstar in Lulu, to Sophie's irritating parents, I simply adored this novel.
A must read for the festive season. Cant wait to see what this author does next.
