I am absolutely thrilled to be celebrating the relaunch of these two fantastic reads with Hobeck Books.
The Tip of the Iceberg:
A faked photo has devasting consequences…
Oil executive Charles Yelland’s perfect life is turned upside down when a newspaper publishes a photo of an illegal exploration rig in Antarctica supposedly owned by his company – except the photo is a fake.
A worldwide rush for riches
While Yelland tries to deal with the devastating personal and professional impact of the deception, global political leaders rush to establish if oil has been found beneath the ice. If so, should they tear up the decades-old Antarctic treaty and stake a claim for a share of the vast potential mineral riches there?
Review:
A totally gripping and absorbing plot that makes this read simply unputdownable. I was eager to find out how this would all unravel. An edge of seat read, with brilliant pacing and the action never stops.
Intelligent and witty, where the odd one liners make you smile and titter along the way.
This Is Not A Pipe:
A new and personal mission for Michaela ‘Mike’ Kingdom.
When the brother-in-law of former CIA analyst Michaela ‘Mike’ Kingdom goes missing, she has very little to work with. Last heard of in Málaga three weeks earlier, Mike doesn’t know what name he was using, what country he was working in, or what he was doing. This is not going to be a routine missing person investigation.
A UK government minister killed
Mike is reluctantly forced back into the field when a British government minister is killed in France, en route to Spain, but the death offers Mike a vital first clue to solving her brother-in-law’s disappearance. How are the two incidents connected?
Review:
Firstly, I love the title! This took me back to my media studies when I studied the "pipe". Yet again this had me laughing from page 1 with the author's wit in strong force from the off. A gripping plot, superb characters that are well developed and a good pace throughout. A definite page turner.
Both out now.
