Blog Tour: Far From The Tree, Rob Parker

Its my stop on the blog tour for Far From The Tree.

Detangling the plot:

Twenty-seven bodies, vacuum-packed, buried in a woodland trench - some have been there for years, some for just days.

DI Foley finds himself the Senior Investigating Officer on one of the largest murder cases the country has ever seen. This could make his career.

But as new discoveries unfold, this horrific gangland crime suddenly gets personal. Too personal.

Foley has a choice. Solve the crime and risk his family? Or leave well alone?

To a man like Brendan, that’s no choice at all…

Far From the Tree is the first in the Thirty Miles Trilogy and was an Audible #1 Bestseller.

Bobs and Books honest review:

From the off, this crime is up there with being dark, spooky, gruesome and mysterious.

Foley is dedicated to the job, and is a little bit stereotypical in the sense of it appears he works all hours, and his home life is strained as a result. As the IDs come in on the Warrington 27, he is faced with a bigger challenge and some dilemmas.

I really like Iona Madison, she definitely challenges stereotypes. She's fierce, brutal and feisty. This is great to see in a crime book like this as women are far too often tea ladies. I would not want to approach Iona to make me a cuppa!

This does have a wider mix of interesting characters along the way, and the sense

of location(s) are strong and adds to the scene that is being created. A few strands left open- we already know that this will be 1 of 3 and it'll be good to see where this goes next.

Vivid, hard-hitting, shocking.
